Privacy Policy
1. About this Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Cashflow Pro (“Cashflow Pro”, “we”, “us”, “our”) handles personal information in connection with the Cashflow Pro mobile application and our website (together, the “Services”).
We aim to handle personal information in a transparent way and, where applicable, in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”).
2. Summary (Plain English)
- The app is designed to work without user accounts and without you providing personal details.
- Financial and property inputs you enter in the app are intended to stay on your device.
- We do not intentionally collect analytics or advertising identifiers inside the app.
- If you contact us (e.g., by email), we will receive the information you send.
- Apple/Google may collect information as part of operating their app store and device platforms.
3. What is “Personal Information”?
“Personal information” generally means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable.
4. Personal Information We Collect and Hold
Cashflow Pro is designed to operate without you providing personal information to use core features. However, we may collect and hold limited personal information in the situations below.
4.1 Information you provide when contacting us
If you contact us via email or another support channel, we may collect and hold:
- Your email address
- Your name (if included in your message or email settings)
- The contents of your message and any attachments you provide
- Administrative information needed to respond (e.g., time sent, subject line)
4.2 Information collected by app stores and device platforms
Apple and Google may collect information as part of operating the App Store / Google Play and their device platforms (for example, downloads, billing records, and diagnostics/crash information). This information is controlled by Apple/Google under their own privacy policies and settings, not by Cashflow Pro.
4.3 Website/hosting logs (if you use our website)
If you visit our website, our hosting and security providers may generate standard server/security logs (for example, IP address, device/browser information, and request timestamps) to operate and protect the site. We do not use these logs to try to identify you.
5. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect in the App
Based on the current design of Cashflow Pro, we do not intentionally collect the following from within the app:
- Account profiles (there are no accounts)
- Advertising identifiers
- In-app behavioural analytics or tracking events
- Precise location data
- Contact lists
- Payment card details (purchases, if any, are handled by Apple/Google)
If this changes (for example, if analytics or cloud sync is added), we will update this Policy and, where required, provide any notices/choices required by law and platform rules.
6. On-Device Data (Your Inputs)
Any values you enter into the app (for example, property and cashflow inputs) are intended to be stored locally on your device only, where the app provides save/persistence features.
If you uninstall the app, local app data may be removed depending on your device settings and platform behaviour. You can also remove data by using in-app reset/clear features (where available).
7. How We Collect and Hold Personal Information
We collect personal information directly from you when you send it to us (for example, by email). We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
We hold support communications (such as emails) in our service provider systems (for example, our email provider) and use reasonable administrative controls to limit access.
8. Why We Collect, Hold, Use, and Disclose Personal Information
We collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information only as needed to:
- Respond to support requests and user communications
- Troubleshoot issues you report and improve stability (based on the information you provide)
- Comply with legal obligations (for example, responding to lawful requests)
9. Disclosure to Third Parties and Overseas Recipients
We do not sell personal information.
We may disclose personal information to third-party service providers where necessary to operate our support channels and website (for example, email and web hosting providers). These providers may store or process data outside Australia depending on their infrastructure and your settings.
Apple and Google handle app distribution, payments (if any), and certain platform diagnostics under their own terms and privacy policies.
10. Data Retention
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you, maintain records for operational purposes, and meet legal requirements. We may delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
11. Access and Correction
If we hold personal information about you (for example, in email correspondence), you can request access to, or correction of, that information by contacting us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request.
12. Complaints
If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that breaches applicable privacy obligations, you can complain by contacting us using the details below and describing your concern.
We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
13. Data Breaches
Where the Notifiable Data Breaches (NDB) scheme applies to us, and an eligible data breach occurs, we will take steps to notify affected individuals and the OAIC as required.
14. Children
The Services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
15. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective” date above when we publish changes.
